WIP

Just a thought - does that new Hardees commercial with the really hot guy and the bobbly hula girl make anyone feel dirty? Just wondering... it makes me feel a little wierd...

OK, got that off my chest!

I'm so busy these days! I'm taking care of 2 'extra' children several days during the week, and this means I don't have as much 'free' time available for craftiness. As for crafts... I'm still getting some things done - mostly late at night (when my husband would rather me do something else.... hee hee), or when the kidos are napping - so my time is more limited for sure! For example...Right now I'm sitting doing cross stitch and watching MY Carolina Hurricanes!!! (DH is at the game) They are the only sports related thing I pay ANY attention to. I'm a native North Carolinian, but I love my Hockey team! I really wish I could say I've been out walking in the cooler autumn air, but I haven't... maybe soon...maybe... Anyway, I'm working a few Christmas presents... some cute little bunnies are cut out and waiting to be sewn and stuffed... I'm still waiting for my DH to take the patterns for the piggies I want to make to be enlarged... and here are a few little tastes of the other things I'm working on:

Another baby kimono from the MDK book... I'm not sure when that book will make it back to the library! This one is a different size for another sweet girlie I know... It's a burgundy wool.

These are tidbits of a sampler I'm making for a very special woman I know, can't say who yet... ya know... Christmas! It's my first attempt on linen, and my first time stitching over two threads... a learning experience for sure... there are also a ton of techniques in this pattern that are very new to me, so I feel like this is a challenge and also a lot of fun! I can't wait to see how it looks completed!

So, I'm not finding a lot of time to blog, but wanted to let all of my (5) readers know I'm still here and hard at work!

BUY THAT BOOK! It's worth every penny! Do the Michael's 40 % off coupon thing. The kimono will look sweet in that color!

Thanks for stopping by my blog.....

I'm updating tonight, so wait till you see what i've been up to. Not a bit of stash knitting!

Ha. I totally get you on the Hardee's commercial. Especially since he takes such BIG bites. Anyway...

Found your blog through CrazyMomQuilts quilt along--I'm envious of your embroidery skills. I'm struggling through my first cross-stitch piece and I'm finding out just how little I pay attention to directions.
