Quilt - Along Week#2

Here's my second block for the quilt along at Crazy Mom Quilts- I can't wait to see what next week's is going to look like. This is a lot of fun!

The day before I left for my Thanksgiving holiday I got a wonderful gift in the mail! I had entered a give-away on the My Byrd House site, and won a really cute apron she had made out of a white pair of jeans! Here's a picture of me TRYING to get a picture in the apron. Unfortunately my 17 month isn't so hot with the camera yet, so this is the best shot I could get out of the lot. So here's headless me.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I ended up with Strep Throat AGAIN!!!!! Arggggg!!! I wasn't very hungry, and couldn't hold my beautiful little neice much at all! I was really bummed to have it again, and such awful timing. I had made many plans for the day before Thanksgiving, and all of those plans went down the drain. Thanksgiving was pretty good anyway. I ate a little, and everything I ate was yummy. I didn't get much knitting done either over the holiday, I just didn't really feel up to it. I slept a lot, and lounged around my parent's house a bunch in my PJs. SO - now I feel like I'm behind and really need to get on the ball with my projects!

Here's a tease for you: While I was at my parent's house, I noticed a particularly beautiful wool blanket that I hadn't noticed before. I had never seen one like it. It was nonchalantly draped over a chair in the living room, quite out of the way. I asked my Mom about it, and it turns out there is quite a history to this particular blanket. I will post more about it later, but hopefully I have gotten your attention - and you'll check back tomorrow maybe! Ha ha!

Oooh, I love the fabric choices in this block. I've decided that I need to go out and get more fabric to match. Who ever heard of needing more stash? Well, most of my stash is heavier fabrics for furniture, pillows, etc. that I use for handbags. So, not much on the fabric side.
Thanks for the comments on my site - I'm going to bookmark you to keep up with what you've got going on.

I love the fabric choices too. I love how the green in the floral print pops!
