Happy 2008!!!!!

I am very excited for this new year to begin! I've got huge plans for the year:

Having some Beach Trip(s)
Camping with the Girl Scouts
Knitting and sewing more cute things for NEXT Christmas! (starting early this year!)
Sewing some great bags for my Aunt's gift shop in Woodstock, GA
Spending lots of time with my kids and little neice
Going to the Zoo a couple of times
Having a profitable year with our landscaping business
Swimming at the pool
Getting my house more organized and de-cluttered
Living more healthfully (eating healthy things, making it a point to move more)
Having a great year at my daughter's school (finishing kindergarten and starting first grade)

What are some of your plans for the year? I'm my list will change and evolve, but these are my hopes for the new year - you will notice 'having strep throat' is NOT on the list! Ha ha! I really hope this year will be a healthy, happy one for everyone out there in blogland!

For the new year we visited my sister and her family at Langley AFB - they've got a really cute little house in a nice neighborhood, it's off-base base housing, and there's a gate and everything. It has a great backyard, and it's really cute and great for their little family of 3.

Here's some cousins: Taylor Anne and Maddox!

One day while the little man and I were napping, Mike took Taylor Anne to the Zoo.

They had a really good time, and we decided we'll definately go back sometime when it's warmer.

The day we left, it was a little warm, and we took a little walk in the neighborhood, and the husbands did some work around the house.

Happy '08 Em! It really sounds like you had a great Christmas and New Year - with or without the tree. I really feel like a weight has lifted after this season. I will definitely start early on those projects like you.

Your daughter is such a cutie - and first grade too. Are you going to cry? I don't know what I'll do when I see Chandler walking away into school with a little back pack on. Sniff...

You said on your profile that you love 'The Good Earth'.

One of my favourite books of all time. I read it when I was a teenager, and I still remember Wang Lung and his family vividly.
