Thank Heavens for the Internet!

Success!
I got the button hole attachment to work! Woo hoo! I searched all over the Internet for what the problem might be, and thanks to everyone for their suggestions, I figured out that I needed to decrease the top tension down to 2 for the stitch to work. And now it's beautiful! I did three beautiful buttonholes - and they're so easy. Now I want to see what else I can make for the kids to be matchy. All in all, The shirt was much easier than I thought it would be.
I also machine sewed on the buttons... they're so cute! That was easy too... Now the shirt is done, and it fits my little boy to a 'T' - I don't have a picture with him in it, but here is the completed shirt. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it is perfect - the hems were easy on this shirt, and I really am proud of the way it turned out. I can't wait to put the kids in their matching outfits for Easter!

Last night my daughter's class held a Spanish lesson for the adults to watch - just so the parents could see what types of things they're learning. The kids are so great, they all understand what the teacher is saying, and she only speaks to them in Spanish. During their typical daily lesson they sing songs, learn vocabulary (animals, foods, body parts, names of clothing, etc)and learn short sentences. A few pictures from last night:

Anderson got in on the fun too... he played in the practical life section and did some fun block puzzles with Daddy!

Here's a video of them trying to sing a song... some of them forgot the second verse, so the teacher had to remind them of the words. She is from Chile and so all of the kids in the class speak their Spanish with an authentic Chilean accent - it's really cute! I got a little crazy with the zooming in and out... sorry about that!

It looks really great!
I'm not sure why I haven't made any matching clothes for my boys yet, maybe after the baby is born I'll try. Not for Easter though, I'll be recovering from a c-section! I wonder if they would let me bring my sewing machine to the hospital? I don't think so! LOL
