I don't deserve this!

I won a blogger award today - a blue ribbon in fact!
Chicken Betty gave it to me because she loves reading about my adventures on my blog. She's so sweet! I really do love her blog - the photos are so cool, she's really crafty with a lot of things that I'm NOT crafty with, and she tells it like it is - which I admire!

So now I get to pass the warm fuzzies along to some bloggers who really DO deserve a blue ribbon! Here are the rules:

1) Post the award on your blog. (ok, here it is!)
2) Add a link to the person who gave you the award. (see above)

3) Nominate at least 4 other bloggers and add their links. (I made it 5 - see below)

4) Leave a comment at the recipients’ blogs so they can pass it on. (they'll hear from me soon!)

Here are the lucky 5 'blue ribbon bloggers':

1 - Tipper (yes that's her real name) at 'Blind Pig & The Acorn' - her blog is a peek into the holler, a fascinating look at her yard sale addiction, and a sweet treat for your ears since she's got a soundtrack of bluegrass music (much of which is sung and played by her family members). I love visiting her site, and very often wish I could go visit her for a weekend to play in the stream or climb the trees...
2 - Jen at 'On the Creative Path' - this busy busy lady is so cute, and is one of my best blog-friends! She likes to try giving everyone a 'midweek lift' even though often this doesn't actually occur mid-week... She makes the cutest little felt hair clips too - you should really check out her site!
3 - Natalie at 'Chickenblog' - I don't know how to explain this blog except for extraordinary! Natalie is like a kindred spirit of mine, yet I have never really met her and she lives on the exact other side of the country! Her family is wonderful, close-knit, loving, and adventuresome. She takes wonderful pictures to share her journeys with everyone out in blog-land. Oh - and she has chickens! Need I say more? Ha ha!
4 - Breanna at 'Graceful Designs' - really an amazing woman... she has an amazing garden and she has chickens too... She's also a foster mom (sometimes on short notice)!
5 - Last, but not least, Mary at 'Windshields and Rear-view Mirrors' - This gal is amazing... she's a great mom, she's a military wife (need I say more?), and she's also an orchestra teacher! Mary tells it like she sees it - something I wish I could do more often! I love reading her blog, not only because she's my little sis, but because she's one of those who will make you think about things every once in a while!

FYI - NPR in Atlanta did a piece last week about a class in Decatur (suburb) that taught peoplehow to have chicken coops at home. You should move to Atlanta, they'd be thrilled with your chicks!

Congrats on your award!! You so deserve it. You are a true inspiration to me-taking on the county for your right to enrich your families life. We should all be so inclined to make a difference.

And thank you so much for your nice words!! Just makes my day-actually my week!! I am thrilled that you enjoy visiting me and like what I do. I needed a pick me up-and you sure gave me one!! Thank you again.
